Et tu Pompeo? Mike Pompeo’s Great Betrayal

Recent revelations expose former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as a central figure in a calculated effort to sabotage Donald Trump’s 45th administration (2017–2021). Far from the loyal ally he portrayed, Pompeo’s actions, as uncovered through sources on X and investigative reports, reveal a duplicitous operator whose allegiance leaned more toward the deep state than the president he served.

As CIA Director, Pompeo allegedly withheld critical intelligence from the Italian government that could have derailed the Mueller investigation into Trump’s supposed Russia ties, according to sources in Italy. This omission allowed the baseless probe to drag on, sowing division and distracting from governance. Posts on X further allege Pompeo granted Rep. Adam Schiff access to raw CIA intelligence logs, enabling Schiff to fuel the Russiagate narrative in a “treasonous scam” to undermine Trump. Declassified notes from John Ratcliffe in 2020 hint at a broader high-level plot, potentially linked to escalating tensions in Ukraine, casting Pompeo as a key player in a covert coup.

Pompeo’s tenure as Secretary of State was no less troubling. His memoir brags of manipulating Trump on foreign policy, taking credit for economic wins while pushing a hawkish agenda that clashed with Trump’s America First ethos. X posts label him a “warmonger,” a sentiment echoed by Trump allies like Tucker Carlson, who helped block Pompeo’s return to the 47th administration. His public criticisms of Trump’s fiscal policies and handling of classified documents—calling them a danger to U.S. troops—further strained ties, revealing a man positioning himself for a 2024 presidential run that never materialized.

Most damning is Pompeo’s role in the Oleg Smolenkov exfiltration, a low-level Russian admin hyped as a high-value CIA asset to bolster the Russia interference narrative. This operation, described as a cover-up, protected CIA missteps while fueling anti-Trump hysteria. Ethics violations, including misusing diplomatic resources and firing a State Department inspector general probing his conduct, cement Pompeo’s image as a self-serving opportunist.

Trump’s decision to exclude Pompeo from his 47th administration and revoke his security detail in 2025, despite ongoing Iranian threats, underscores the depth of this betrayal.

It looks like Pompeo’s legacy is not one of service but of subversion, and it’s a stark warning of disloyalty within the ranks as warned here by National Intelligence Dire actor, Tulsi Gabbard.
